James is mixed British Spanish, has worked in the UK and Japan, and is now based in France. He writes, edits and directs his own film and documentary projects, and is also a founding member of Oyster Productions, an international film production company.

James gained his training at Cinestudio, Paris and has since striven to tell his own stories. Although he has an interest in many forms of narrative, it is his experience that film moves audiences in a way no other medium can. Whether through shorts, documentaries, serials or features, James focuses on creating stories that make us feel deeply.
